You start off with 1 friend, Tom! Everybody gets him as a friend. Then you must invite people or get invited. That's how your build friends. You can join groups of like minded individuals and share thoughts and information and then you can invite them to be your friend. You can also invite a friend of a friend. But be nice, tell them how you know of them and the connecting link and ask them to be your friend.
The other options is to allow MySpace really kool address book to search your address book for people with gmail, AOL and Yahoo accounts. It pulls your address book right into the MySpace interface and allows you to click on your friends and invite them to join you on MySpace!
By tomorrow, you should have lots of new friends, just extend your hand!

It depends on how many friend do you got. If you have like about more than 4 friends. Go to Edit my top friends and set it into4,8, 16.... whatever you like.

because u need to edit friends n change the amount that is allowed on ur top !!!
