Holiday season starts at Thanksgiving. Turning on your lights starts the day after Thanksgiving. In retail, it starts in July these days.

Call me old-school if you want, but it's like this, always has been;the "Holiday" season starts on "Black Friday",the day after Thanksgiving, not a minute before. That's what makes them so 'special',it only comes in that time-frame.

it usually begins the day after Thanksgiving, which is in 3 days, while some people are at home, others are shopping
(or when you look for three hours for a spot at your local Wal Mart, Target, or mall)
