The egg is fertilized in your tubes, and then travels down to your uterus to implant. Sometimes it implants in your tubes, but I'm sure that didn't happen to you. At 4 weeks there is nothing to see. The gestational sac is visible at 5 weeks, and the baby is visible at 6 weeks.

It is called an ectopic pregnancy. It occurs when a fertilized egg doesn't make it to the uterus and implants in a fallopian tube instead. An ectopic pregnancy can cause big problems if it ruptures, so the doctors have to go in and surgically remove it. I wouldn't worry too much about it though, 4 weeks is too early to see a fetus on an ultrasound. It ususally isn't seen until around 6 weeks. So I wouldn't worry too much, unless you are experiancing horrible abdominal pain, if not its probably too soon to see your baby.
