Hopefully you can keep the baby inside of you for 4 more weeks, so that the baby is full term and can come home when you do from the hospital. I was dialted to 2 for 2 weeks, so it can be days or weeks. I'm assuming you've been put on bed rest and given meds to stop you from contracting. Good luck.

Well i was the same with 2 of my kids and still had to be induced at 41 weeks ! the other I was 4 cm dilated and had to get my waters broken. So there is no way to tell that you will have the baby soon . The good thing is though when you go into labour you may have a quicker time as your body has already done some of the hard work, it takes some woman ages to get to 2-3 cm after hours of labour!
My labours were 7 hours , 3 hrs and 2 hrs . good luck you dont really want your baby coming this early as it will be premature and at risk of lung not being developed and other problems.

No one can say for sure. Dialation and the baby dropping just means you are making progress. It is still possible for you to go past your due date. Even if your water breaks, no one can tell you for sure the baby will come within a certain time frame.

My sister was dialated at 2 for 4 weeks. They ended up having to induce her because she didn't progress at all.
Hopefully you are full term before your baby pops out. Good luck.

honestly you can be dialated for weeks! a friend of mine stayed dialeted at 2-3 for 3 weeks. (she ended up running over 40wks) with first time pregnancies you tend to drop alot sooner, some cases weeks to a month before.. so just because you have those signs doesnt mean it will be soon, your dr might give you a better estimated time frame next time you go in.

You never know. Being dialted doesn't really mean a whole lot. It just means that baby is in position. But you could go into labor now or you could go into labor 3 weeks from now. And you might not ever break your water, actually most woman don't. Good luck!

Please be patient. The baby needs to stay in the womb at least until 36-37 weeks, at that point the lungs are developed enough....not fully, but enough to sustain life outside the womb , hopefully w/out any mechanical ventilation or O2 therapy needed.
Be patient, God is at work. I predict your baby to born born on or near Dec 31, 2007.
Good luck
