I always classified him as a dog with its tail between its legs. Never thought of him as much more than that.

Jimmy Carter has in no way been Catholic. He attends Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, GA. John Kennedy grew to become into the only Catholic president. he's conventional his Christian faith via his artwork with Habitat for Humanity, between different issues.

He does profess to Christianity, though I'm not sure which denomination - I don't believe it is Catholic.
His life after public office perhaps best demonstrates his faith, particularly his actions of public concern for the poor, the marginalized, the sick, and the uneducated.

The only US president who was a Catholic-Christian was John F. Kennedy. All other presidents were some denomination within Christianity, but not Catholic.

Child, please! Do your homework. Jimmy Carter was the governor of Georgia (and a peanut farmer) prior to becoming president. Dude was a good ole' hardcore Southern Baptist. Never missed a day of church. It was pretty much part of his election platform (Southern Baptist Peanut Farmer - man o' the people). When he ran for president, the peaceniks loved him because he was such a pacifist and the old-school religious conservatives loved him because he was...well...and old-school southern baptist.

Oh, now. Don't judge a person who you have only heard of through the grapevine.
