Yes.. he's the closest candidate to Reagan

"In 1976, Ron paul was one of only four Republican congressmen to endorse Ronald Reagan for president."

This is what Reagan had to say about Paul himself:

"Ron Paul is one of the outstanding leaders fighting for a stronger national defense. As a former Air Force officer, he knows well the needs of our armed forces, and he always puts them first. We need to keep him fighting for our country."

To address the other claims being made:
The republican party traditionally has always been the anti-war/less government party, the party has lost it's way.. Paul hasn't.. and by the way he was elected into Congress as republican as he has been one for several years..

And Huckabee is comparable to Reagan? please he is another warmonger that wants to grant amnesty for every illegal immigrant, raise taxes, and go to war with Iran without even bothering to get the consent of Congress...

Ron Paul would make a much better president than Ronald Reagan. He's loyal to the constitution and to the footpaths of the fouding fathers. He's a 100% true American.

Ronald Reagan became president because he was a very smooth talker, a very handsome, well known ,"Good Guy" movie star.

I think Ron Paul would make a better President!

Reagan hid his involvement in the Iran/Contra scandal, switched from supporting union workers to trying to split up the unions. He meant well, but his only political experience before becoming president was a short stint as California's Governor.

Ron Paul has almost 30 years of being involved first hand with the political process at the national level. He is an expert economist. Has the qualities so many other politicians lack!

HONESTY & INTEGRITY!!!

To support Ron Paul is to support the U.S. Constitution!
Thank you.

He would follow in the foot steps of Reagan. Reagan brought about a lot of changes the Berlin Wall, Nuclear Defense Program, boosted the economy, helped vets, lowered taxes, got the government off are backs a bit made me proud of being American. Ron Paul is similar to Reagan more so than any other presidential candidate now.

Yes, and more. Although on the surface, Mitt Romney looks like he could play Reagan.

Not even close. Ronald Reagan was a Republican. Ron Paul is a liberatarian. It's like comparing apples to diesel engines.

Ronald Reagan was not an isolationist. He embraced the US role in helping Israel and the middle eastern allies like Saudi Arabia, Kuwaiit and others who Ron Paul cares nothing for or about. It sounds good - until you realize Israel will end up nuking most of them to defend itself.

Yes he is, though he will actually stick to the platform on which he is elected (Reagan didn't do all that much to "get government off our backs").

Because he is much smarter and opposed to wars and intervention abroad. he believes in an open door policy which is good for the economy.Reagan just favoured the rich, wars and he was opposed to immigration, and favoured repressive government like loyalty oaths
