it grew on me: "That was gay", " you are gay for that", "I mean that is so gay for him or her to act like that" "do you wanna hear something so gay....."
Do you think I should stop... it's pretty offenssive huh? I am not describing homosexuals, just figure of speech. I say straight: "that movie was straight" or if someone tells me sorry for like stepping on my shoe or something dumb I'll say: your straight"....(i'm rambling sorry)

Sad* I wrote a big long answer to this question and thought I had posted it yesterday! I must have accidentally closed the browser or something! Doh!
Anyway...
I appreciate that you are honest about saying it.
For me, I try to check myself when using that word because it can be offensive to people. Which makes me sad, because many people don't intend to be offensive, but still get in trouble for it anyway.
I try not to get offended by comments people make, and I find that makes my life easier. By not wasting my time holding grudges and demanding respect, I can put my energy towards helping others, instead of worrying about myself.
After all, many people say God or Jesus Christ, as crass exclamations, and religious people have just as much of a right to get mad about that...
My point is basically, everyone could get offended about anything, so enjoy yourself, be humble and understanding, and respectful! Then you will have less problems and be able to work out the ones you have easier!

yeh i use that word to all the time, its not offensive you dont mean gay as in the homosexual type of gay, you mean it was stupid or the other word used which also means gay "sad" "oh that movie was so sad/gay" not sad as in tears.

i don't use it. my brother is gay and i am very sensitive to the use of the word. it really bothers me when people use it in a derogatory way.
