I took my baby out right away. I kept her tucked in her sling, so that really prevents a lot of touching by strangers. If you're nursing, your baby will be getting good antibodies from your milk, and there is evidence that early exposure to a variety of people/places strengthens the immune system.

For a long period of time where the baby might be passed around or exposed to germs 2-3 months at least.

honestly, i took my son out at 4 days old. i had to go to sam's club to get food for my baby shower- i had him 4 weeks early so my baby shower was 5 days after. i breastfeed so i know my son is getting ball the antibodies- besides i had to take him to the doc to check his weight and there is a lot more germs there i promise. there never really is a set age- as long as your baaby is healthy its whenever you feel you're both ready

My husbands family told me to wait 40 days before we took our daughter out. I don't know where that number came from. I told them I waited that long but I actually took her out about 2 weeks after she was born. Just keep your baby warm and covered so strangers aren't wanting to peek at your little bundle.

i don't think there are any hard fast rules for this mine were around lots of people from day one the obvious thing is not to let a sick person breath all over them just as you wouldn't want them breathing over you mine are teenagers now and seem fine well as fine as teenagers get anyway

I would say like a month. Unless it is family and you can trust that they would wash their hands, and stay away if sick...
