This is an oxidation-reduction reaction. You need to find the two half reactions, and balance them.

I will give you a little help. You can write the oxidation of lead as

Pb + 2 HNO3 = Pb(NO3)2 + 2H+ + 2e-

Now all you need to do is to find the equation for the reduction of nitric acid to NO, and cross multiply so that the number of electrons given out in the oxidation is the same as the number taken up in the reduction.
