I have been told I will get a decision on something in 5 business days today at 3pm. Now i know weekends and thanksgiving day do not count as business days...but does the Friday after Thanksgiving count as a business day or not?

Would it be safe to assume I would find out the decision on tuesday? or wednesday?

Thanks

The decision is from a college. The college is closed Thursday and Friday. So i dont know if that counts as days THEY are open, or a technical "business day"

It depends on the place you are waiting on.
If they are open, then count it as a business day.
If they are closed, then it does not count.
Today also doesn't count - today is day 0.

Oh yes it counts as a business day! Because ALL the stores will be open! :) BUT the truth is it depends on the company and are they OPEN on the Friday after Thanksgiving?? Chances are they WILL be Open then! So I say expect this on Next Tuesday :)

Came across this question because I have a similar but more specific question which I think should be considered. Does the US Mail deliver on the Friday after Thanksgiving? If so I would posit that that would make it definitely a business day. Thanks.

Yes, it's a business day. Fridays off are usually reserved for people who go to school or are in that profession.

Friday is considered a business day, but if people take off you may not hear anything until Monday.

Friday is a business day.

Friday might count, but might not, especially if they're closed on Friday.

Good luck.

I would assume the following Monday at the earliest; many companies including mine, (except for a skeleton crew) close from Thanskgiving Thursday on...
