I have been doing it by meditating and calling out to ask if anyone is there. I though it wasn't working. Now in the bedroom where I have been doing it is always cold. My partner thinks I have bought a spirit into the house. We have the heating on and the house is warm and there's nothing wrong with the radiator in the bedroom but it doesn't stay warm for long in there. Could I have bought a spirit into the house?
I need advice seriouse answers only.

This is a serious answer. My take on this is that you're just experiencing the power of suggestion. From your question you obviously take spirits and spirit guides very seriously, so you likely have the expectation of spirit activity. Your only observations so far are cold and warmth, and not only can the warmth of a room vary quite a bit in the fall season when you've got wide temperature variations, the power of suggestion can also influence your sense of cold or warmth.

The lack of belief in spirits offends a surprising number of people in YA from my experience, but my answer is not meant to offend. I don't believe in spirits, but scientists do know that power of suggestion is very real.

Keep practising. Also google 'how to contact spirit guide' and they show you. It won't happen first time. Try to have a clean, tidy, airy room that is peaceful and you will have no disturbances. Also ignore the close minded people making fun of you. Good luck, and email me about this if you need to. yeah, ill probably get thumbs down... so BRING IT ON. 'Coz i don't care. :)

a.) You are probably mistaking correlation with causation. In other words, you are just now taking note of the coldness because you have gone through a triggering event. If a spirit caused the coldness, why would it only be cold in the bedroom? What makes you think spirits cause coldness?

b.) If you aren't able to contact your spirit guide would you be open (minded) to the possibility that no such things exist? Since there is noting to indicate they do exist, what would it take to convince you?

Hello

Our guides, & we all have many of them are about us at all times.

You will usually experience them clairvoyantly, within your mind.

If you feel unnearved by what you sense in your bed room you can do one of 2 things - meditate & try to communcate or fill the room with love & ask your guides to remove anything not needed there.

You are either imagining what is in your room due to expectation, or more likely, I feel that as you have opened up to spirit you are simply more aware of what is already there. I do not feel that this is a spirit - more a pocket of old negative energy that needs love & healing to remove it.

Not sure who advised you that your spirit guide could be contacted this way but it doesn't follow any tradition that I know of. Calling out randomly is like trying to call your brother by opening a phone book to a random page and dialing the numbers on that page and asking to speak to your brother.
I have included links to several books that will assist you if you wish to undertake a Shamanic Journey and look for Animal Allies. You might also Google Vision Quests.
While these are done in altered states of consciousness (sometimes with substances like Peyote and other times just with repetitive rhythmic music (drums, rattles))this is more than simple meditation and calling out.
Most traditions direct you to ask the spirits/animals that you meet if they are your ally (you may encounter many that are not).

When you believe you are experiencing temperature fluctuations always measure with a thermometer as that human senses can be subjective regarding temperatures (experiencing chills, etc.)
The bedroom may not stay warm because it is getting colder at night and a radiator does not evenly distribute heat like a central heat and air unit should. It could also be poor insulation in that part of the house (outside walls with old insulation or large single pane windows).

If you believe you may have attracted a spirit and you don't want it to be there I would simply ask it to leave. I know many real humans that are bad at social cues and have to be reminded that the visit is over.
Depending on your belief system(s) you could have the house blessed (or do this yourself) or have the house smudged/cleansed using sage (both Native Americans and Wiccans use this as a way to purify a space). You can also do this yourself.

I'm with Denie on this one. You have to be really careful with calling up spirits. You can just call up "anyone". You have to reach higher, protect yourself, and set your intention, and ask that only your true spirit guide, of the truest intention, come forward. I made that mistake too in the beginning and I paid for it--I brought a demon into my house. Luckily for me, once the demon was gone, my true spirit guides did indeed come forward and, I have learned in the time since, that my true spirit guides were the ones protecting from this demon. He wanted me and he wasn't going to give up easily, I had to call in someone way stronger than me to get rid of this thing. It's like opening your door wide open...and leaving it that way. ANYTHING can come in. Not only do you have to protect yourself, but you have to protect your house as well.

It's actually best if you can find a development circle to do this in, so that other mediums are there to protect you while you call on and meet your guides for the first time.

I think that calling out on your own isn't a good thing. It is possible to reach something that you don't necessarily want near or around you. In the same way that we can become fooled by a con man, a malevolent or mischievous entity could fool you into believing it is there on good intention. If you are a novice with spiritual forces then you become a target.

Angels, spirit guides, are always around you and you can please them by being yourself. You will notice they influence you by good luck that you may have, even if it's just a coincidence. If good things happen in your life just say thanks quietly.

If you feel you called something in, then ask it to leave - but do not give it any more energy by being afraid, be firm and do not loose your resolve - lose interest in it and hopefully it will disperse.

Our spirit guides would like to contact us, just as much as we want to contact them. But are you ready to meet with them, now? Learn all about who they are, what they do and how they do their thing, their methods and procedures.

I've been trying to warn people on here about "calling up spirits". It's a lot easier to get them to come than it is to get them to go away. And you never know who you'll get. (guess I'll get thumbs down for this...but I still have to warn people) They pretty much destroyed my life (with my help). (but I thought they were good spirits)

Call 1-800-GET-ALIFE.

If you have actually brought a "spirit" into the house, call 1-800-GHOSTBUSTERS to have it removed.

If your bedroom is cold, I suggest more insulation in the walls and ceiling or snuggling closer to your partner.
