we would want everyone to be there, but WOULD NOT expect gifts from anyone, we just want everyone there to share this time with us.

I did it when I was married for 5 years cause hubby and I got married in the park by ourselves and no one was there so we had a huge party on our 5th and got married again. You can do it whenever you want too! CONGRATS!!!:) Good luck to you both!!!!

There is nothing wrong with having a vow renewal, however it is NOT "another wedding" - it's just a simple ceremony, for which you just wear dress clothes, not wedding finery. It can be at a church or another location for the ceremony. Later, you would have family and close friends to your home for a dinner, and a bit of an anniversary party. Usually it's done at the 25th anniversary - but sometimes at the 10th. You are already married, whatever the circumstances were!

It's up to you but, 5 years is to soon in my opinion after all you still look the same your still young. Come back in say 10 years and then see how your husband feels about renewing your vows. That's when it really counts, you know when your husband still looks at you with those same eyes that said many years ago how much he loves you and adores you.Just like it was the very first time he laid eyes on you. Your husband loves you and why wouldn't he after all it's only been 5 years.
My husband and i renewed our vows after 18 years of marriage. It's now been almost 29 years together as husband and wife.

You do it at 5, 10 ,20,50years. You renew your vows. Some people do it every 10 years.

You do what you want to do. Most people wait for the 10 year mark, but if you guys love each other enough to do a renewal now, go for it! I think it's extremely romantic, personally! Good luck to you both and I hope you have many happy years together.

Anytime you want, but PLEASE don't ask me to bring you yet another gift. If you register somewhere, that would be the last time you'd hear from me.
