Yes it does annoy me,but there are times which I can make exceptions,I lent someone a pen and the lid and bottom came back all chewed up so I said they could keep it lol.

I've lost my phone, wallet, car keys, car (yup), laptop, the keys to my house, oh and one time my printer. Just about everything. My kleptomaniac friends find me very resourceful.
