I'm doing a modern version of Romeo and Juliet Act 2 Scene two in my Lit. class. It's not like paraphrasing it but more like summarizing it, cause then it would be too long. but, like i said it's a modern and today-ish theme, so you can change the setting to something more modern but you can't change the meaning and main ideas of the part.
I really need some help please!!

How about trying at the neighborhood for setting? or maybe at a drinking bar......think about some place where love is happening!!

go on sparknotes.com and type in romeo and juliet in the search box and romeo and juliet is there in modern day form and the oldy form...

Mabe in a highschool where the boy is a jock, basketball maybe. The girl is a Nerd, and it's thier friends who don't want them to get together......Oh, Isn't that HS musical???

have people of color in the main roles-or make romeo and juliet "romeo and julius" or two females

This d umb assignment came up earlier. Don't the teachers know that Shakespeare's language is modern English,?it just has some words we don't use any longer. Modern R&J is called WestSideStory. Duh!
