Poetry is easy for me,
it comes naturally.
I don't charge a fee,
I do it for free.
Now short stories, well that's different. Once upon a time I could go on and on about nothing in particular. Then one chilly Novembers evening I was visited by a strange old woman selling apples. Apples weren't my thing so I asked her if she had any pistachio nuts but alas she had none. Yes, she had no bananas either. 'This is pointless', I said to myself and slammed the door shut with an almighty bang. From outside the door I could hear the old woman complaining about how bad this story was. I threw some empty pistachio nut shells at her and she scurried off.
Later that same night she returned but this time with her friends. They had brought their knitting with them so I called the police. They arrived 2 hours later and they had also brought their knitting. The ambulance service refused to listen to me which turned out to be quite wise. The fire brigade also refused but said if I could set fire to the knitting they would come along. I tried to burn the wool but the combined efforts of the old ladies and the police was enough to thwart that plan. In a last act of desperation I phoned the coast guard. They were busy but promised to pop in on their way back.
By now I had ran out of pistachio nuts so I was really panicking. Luckily the coast guard eventually showed up and they had pistachio nuts! They also had bananas which I used to get rid of the old women. The police were a bit picky so they are still there knitting and criticising this story, however everybody else lived happily ever after.
The end.
So to answer your question, I guess I'm as bad at short stories as I am at poetry.

I have a very difficult time with poetry. Some people can dash it off and it's brilliant and they're so prolific it makes me sick! I think I can write short stories better. I've got a good imagination. Plus, I'm an English major.

Yeah, me too! I used to write poetry so much better but now I have no ideas on what to write or how to write... I'm writing short stories now and I think I'm doing better off in that too! Haha... Guess we're pretty similar. :)

Definitely poetry. I enjoy rhyming cause' I'm great at it. I was thinking of being the first female white rapper to make it BIG, but I decided to sway my ambition in a different direction.
PS: You are pretty, but that Puddlemere chick is a creeper, unless you know her personally :).
