I don't understand why the women there aren't doing anything about this. Do they really think they deserve to be gang raped if they are in the company of men who aren't their relatives? Are all the women brainwashed there? It's such a sad situation!

The women of Saudia Arabia are under the same iron-fisted rule as the woman who was raped and punished. What can they do? They will receive a worse fate. Besides, they have a lifetime of brainwashing to make them beleive that this is right.

Its in the way they are brought up & their religion. They have no mind of their own & are not allowed to voice an opinion , even speaking out could cause them to be beaten, its no wonder that thay are to scared to do it; & if they did, who would stand by them? No man, not anywhere in the world will speak out against the power of OIL.
There was a brave woman of whom i read recently, who has spoken out, but they did have to protect her identitiy. She has a contract out on her, by her own brother!
While i lived in Egypt, i heard stories about young girls in the villages who had been killed in 'Honor' killings, by their families. Its illegal, but it still happens, sadly.
Its not that they accept it, its that they have NO choice.

The women there are muslim too so she's probably been brainwashed to believe she got what she desreved in both situations. They can't speak up out of fear.

they darent speak up their lives are controlled by men. ive lived in arab culture (im english) and i know how difficult it is, that wasnt in saudi either
