after you receive best answer go back to the question and then you'll see the "comment" option. it will be in the arear under the question next the the star, email, and save option.

until you said something I didn't know I could. I just went back through some of my best answers and left comments but I am not doing them all because I am sure that the people have moved on by now from the older ones. Yes, I will do it in the future but I just checked on the 15 questions I have asked and out of them only 2 people have left me a thank you. I am okay with this, I believe there are a lot of people who don't know about this feature and also it is my feeling that they do not "owe" me anything. If they say thank you then that is nice if they don't then I don't mind.

I have a few times!!! If you give me best answer I certainly WILL!!
ADD: To you lovely folks who would like to know how... right under the question, where it says "e-mail" in blue, right next to that will appear the word "comments (0)" and that "0" almost never changes to a "1" because almost no one leaves comments. But I really have done that before, I didn't just say that! Sometimes I'll want to respond to something they said when they chose mine as best answer and that's how I do that.
