I sent a long email to a friend I had been messing around w/ saying that I thought it would be better if we remained strictly friends to not ruin our friendship. He replied by saying, "Okay, cool!No prob." and nothing else and now he hasn't been calling or speaking to me. He didn't even address what i wrote in the email. I don't want to say anything else about it. Why is he acting this way??

He just wanted to get in your pants, now that you have put restrictions on the relationship he is no longer interested.

Most guys are more than willing to ruin a friendship if there's a chance of sex involved. You let him know that there will be no more messing around -- apparently that was the part he liked the best.

Good news is, you're not wasting any more time wondering what this "friendship" really means. Acknowledge, and move on. Plenty more guppies in the fishtank.

He only wanted you for sex; there's no need to call you now that you're not giving it to him. If you want the friendship to continue, you're going to have to take the initiative. If he doesn't seem interested, it's time to cut your losses and move on.

cause he wanted more than what you were willing to give. and since you let him know how you felt, then the game is over for him. so he's probably on to the next victim

He's finished the friendship. Accept this, and move on.

he wants to keep having a physical relationship, and i think it would be best if you just not worry about him anymore. He isn't a friend, he's a loser.
