I've noticed that too. If it's so interesting, why don't they answer?

The stars are suppose to mean you find it interesting. So maybe people that don't know the answer will star a question they found interesting and by staring it the people on their contact list are able then to see the question.

I don't know about that. If they really like your question but can't think of a good answer, sometimes a star is just as nice.

Well you don't need to answer the question if you don't know it and they star it because they find it interesting so they can come back to it and see answers.

Maybe they think it was a good question but they are unable to answer it or add any comments. Also, they might just want to mark it so they can come back and look at the answers later.

Not really. Some of my contacts, I think, only star questions to make their other contacts laugh.
