Both are very, very great WR's, and they play different styles of football.

Moss is the best deep threat ever to play the game. Look at how much he has improved his QB's numbers everywhere he went - a quarterback just has to toss the ball up in the air and let him run and outjump anyone in his way. Look how many times Brady targets Moss when he was double covered, and Moss still somehow managed to grab the ball. He has amazing speed, hands, and jumping ability. His biggest drawbacks are that he can't block to save his life, he can't/won't play through an injury, and he still has that "takes plays off" label.

As much as I hate TO, the guy's intensity and physical play are what make him a great wideout. He never seems to rest or get tired, and he has a passion to win (he just displays it poorly when he's losing - his heart is in the right place, he wants to win and he wants the ball, but he needs to learn that he can't start screaming at everyone when that's not happening). He's one of the better blocking WR's, and he can straight up bully corners away from the ball. He has deceptive speed, and is big enough to grab the deep balls. His biggest knock obviously is that he drops way too many passes. Even so, a wideout with his abilities is hard to find.

Both only seem to play for themselves, and when they're not happy, they obviously don't seem to help their teams out. Moss has been seemingly converted to a quiet (and dare I say... humble!?!?!) wideout, and I think he wants rings enough that he's going to keep his mouth shut. However, I can still see TO blowing up when Dallas isn't playing well or not getting him the ball (or he's dropping it when they try to).

I think TO is probably the better all around reciever, however, I think Randy Moss makes a bigger impact and helps his QB's out more. So which is a better WR? One who is more complete or one who helps his offense open up more? I'd take Moss any day of the week.

Yards - Randy Moss: 1,493 Chad Johnson: 1,440 Terrell Owens: 1,355 Yds/Catch Avg - Terrell Owens: 16.7 Chad Johnson: 15.5 Randy Moss: 15.2 Yds/Game Avg - Randy Moss: 93.3 Terrell Owends: 90.3 Chad Johnson: 90.0 Touchdowns - Randy Moss - 23 (NFL Record) Terrell Owens - 15 Chad Johnson - 8 Fumbles - Randy Moss - 0 Terrell Owens - 0 Chad Johnson - 2 Overall, I'd take Randy Moss anyday because he can not only go for the long ball, he can get the 1st downs all the time. He can probably jump higher than any CB or WR out there, so any catch isn't impossible for him. He can also run the ball, as he did in the Playoffs when he picked up 20 yards on one play. He also broke the record for most TD's by a WR in his rookie season (17) and most TD's by a WR in one season (23).

Owens, is a play maker, he has almost as many yards as randy moss, with less receptions, he scores every 4 and a half receptions where as moss scores every 5 and a half hand owens has 1 less first down with 8 less receptions stop beating around the bush owens has it, end of story,

Definitely Moss. He is finally playing for a great team. If it wasn't for all of those years in Oakland, nobody would be questioning his greatness. He's only 6 TD receptions away from breaking Jerry Rice's single season touchdown record, who has 22. Has TO ever done that? NO

All true. Can't argue with you, but I can offer a few counterpoints...

TO has never been accused of taking plays off, ever.

TO has become a very effective down-field blocker, something Moss tradtionally will only given token effort to.

TO never struck anyone with his vehicle.

TO plays hurt, as witnessed by returning to play in the Super Bowl from a broken ankle.

that is comparing the best receivers around. they are different. it would seem that moss simply has to locate himself somewhere in the end zone and nobody can keep him from catching the ball.

owens can run and is stronger. it is a tossup. maybe moss is more valuable. it would seem but let us see if he can keep doing this on through the superbowl. he is the reason pats are so very hot vs. last year. he demoralizes the secondary and probably everybody else on the opposing team. it just looks too easy. effortlessly he keeps catching touchdowns. he must love it there vs. with the raiders.

i think moss is better but there are some things owens beats moss at. he is stronger and more physical, plus he is older and still putting up great numbers.

Terrell Owens is much more dangerous after making a catch. He can throw cornerbacks to the ground with his strength and then run for a touchdown. Moss is a great deep threat but Owens is much better at being a possession receiver.

I think you about summed it up...and the stats don't lie...Leading the NFL in yards and TDs...

Randy Moss just catches the damn ball if it is remotely thrown in his direction...and even if he is triple covered...I've never seen TO do that...Granted, Randy is about 6'5...and that helps...but anyway, he is just damn good...The best WR in the NFL today
