my computer said windows virtual memory minimum too low your system us low on virtual memory. windows is increasing the size of your virtual memory pageing file. During this process memory requests for some applications may be denied. When it said this it made the computer very laggy. i let it go all night and its still very laggy. so what should i make my virtual memory settings?

I get this too some times. I have a powerhouse with 2 gigs RAM and still get it.

Reboot the system (Actually turn it off for about a minute) see if its better after that. If not go to Control panel > System > Advanced > Performance Settings > Change and make your Virtual Memory 1.5 x RAM in size.

the best option would be to add a little more memory. Virtual memory means your computer is reading and writing information off of your hard drive intead of your RAM. This can be a very slow process.

Leave it alone, windows will adjust it automatically.

You may not have enough physical memory to support whatever it is you are doing.

Bare minimum for XP is 512 MB, Vista 1 GB.

If you are video editing or playing serious games, you need more.
