Ha Ha, own a star, thats the funniest thing Ive ever heard. You know how long a star "lives"? 10mil to 10bil years, depending on its size...
So, say you "own" it for 50 years. Thats like 1/20,000th of its life time (for a 10mil star).
Besides, its so far away, you cant touch it, cant live on it, cant tell it its yours. All you can do is look at it - if you happen to get one thats big enough.
