I know that it's human nature to be drawn to stupid humor and there's nothing wrong with that but what if those jokes cross the line? In my opinion I think the creators of these shows overdo it with their jokes. The material in these cartoons is offensive to many people. They discriminate against gender and make women appear like whores. There's also racial, sexual, and religious discrimination in it. At first I thought these shows were amusing but now I have realized that I am unable to find this type of humor appealing. I dont think good humor is supposed to offend anyone.
The simpsons is an entertaining show and it does not make fun of people from a certain, race, gender, sexuality etc.
I dont know if anyone shares the same opinion on this though.

Of course I do change the channel. Personally I dont care much for that type of humor but I was just wondering what everyone else thinks of it.

For the exact reason you state you are against them.About crossing lines.I could do without the scatological humor and profanity, but I relish the Politically Incorrect themes.People lose their jobs these days over single word slurs.Free speech is almost gone. So,although I'm not a cartoon fanatic I do like those shows. http://www.amren.com/mtnews/archives/2006/03/multiculturalis_3.php

I think people are drawn to shows like Family Guy is because it has that humor and you can actually say "Hey that is so true!" at the same time. The Simpsons actually has used race, gender, and sexuality for humor. Its not that the shows make fun of it. Its just saying "Thats out there so we are going to use it." And people relate to it.

That is the nature of Satirical comedies. make fun of things that are obviously controversial, and find humor in it. Maybe if more people would just see it for the humor and laugh at who they are instead of bitching about everything, maybe we can finnaly see an end to racism and sexism, etc. What about all those shows and what no that pick fun of the white population? Is that not a form a racism? Doesn't bother me a bit. Family guy, South Park, Simpsons, make fun of everyone! white , black , chinese, japanese, marklar, christian, jew, muslim, scientologist, what ever you are. No one is sacred, and it's all funny becaseu that's the way life is. if you really think about it, behaviors, claims, religious beliefs, government decisions, etc--- really some of it is just rediculous.

I think if you are watching South Park or Family Guy or American Dad... and you find yourself truly offended... You need to quickly and quietly remove yourself from the gene pool. Its a damn cartoon... It's that or get a sense of humour.
South Park goes by the opinion of "Either you can make fun of everything, or you can't make fun of anything". They are absolutely against any form of censorship, as once you start down that road of censoring, theres no stop. Its all downhill from there... until everything is censored and you are no longer allowed an opinion.

kinfolk guy is very nicely. robotic hen is kinfolk guy without a plot. American dad is a marginally distinctive version of kinfolk guy. The Simpson's is classic, yet they are understanding of techniques, and function all started repeating plot factors in extremely some the recent episodes. South Park nevertheless has its moments. Futurama, i admit is sweet, even though it became sluggish. Drawn jointly, is the worst coach next to American Dad. I supply it yet another season. in basic terms while i presumed it became long previous, it got here decrease back.

I have never watched American Dad, but both Family Guy and South Park have some pretty intelligent jokes. They of course, mix those in with the crude jokes. However, there is some pretty intelligent stuff in both of those shows.
My advice, if you don't like the show then change the channel.

don't forget The Boondocks. These cartoons are the outlet that we want to cross but don't want to be the one responsible for it. I like them but I don't like the sac-religious parts. It seems like those creators have had a bad experience with Christianity. Notice I said "seems".
