Should I ask for Seasons for christmas or should I ask for something else? I got a macintosh so they don't have all the expansion packs they do for PC. Can you tell me some things about Seasons also?

Seasons is one of my favorite expansion packs. Obviously, you get the ability to have seasons, but they're done very well.
- Winter: snowball fights, building snowmen (and crashing them down), snow on the ground, blizzards, school cancelled, the need for outerwear to keep warm, hot chocolate
- Spring: rainstorms, playing in puddles, lightning
- Summer: catching lightning bugs, potential storms, sunburns, new slide for the pool, water balloon fights
- Fall: leaves coming off trees, storms and a possible snowstorm, playing in leaf piles and raking them up
Those are just some of the things you can do with each season. Aside from that, you can learn gardening and can go fishing in ponds. Gardening and fishing let you make new food dishes, and if you decide to grow apple, orange, or lemon trees, you can make juices from the new juicer. Plus, each season benefits you somehow (spring is the time for romance, so your romantic interactions have a boost; fall helps you learn skills faster; summer is the time for friends and barbecues; winter is the time for family).
If you like the Sims, Seasons is a great addition to the game, so I think you should ask for it.

The Sims 2 seasons is an exspansion pack for the computer game The Sims 2. You can have seasons that pass through every 5 days in the game. You can plant stuff, fish, etc.

Seasons is one of the must-have, on top of new cool interactions like playing marcopolo in pool and the slides, gardening, fishing...Seasons gives such a good atmosphere to the game that was really missing. No more forever blue sky! The thunder is so cool and the rain and the snow....simply amazing! Which goes hand in hand with Bon Voyage but this one is not recommended until they fix all the bugs.

i may not no much about season sims but sims are awsome i mean its great if i could i would by all the sims trust be u should get it.its addictive. get it!
