In the early stages of planning a trip to Morocco to do some adventure riding next Autumn (I'm on an XRV 750 and friend on GS1150)
Heard varied reviews but mostly positive. Anyone had any bad experience of Morocco? Many Thanks

Not a moments bad experience... loved all the cities I traveled to (Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, Agadir, ...).

The only thing I would suggest is that you bring your own vitamins and/or supplements because they cannot be found at the pharmacies (of which there are plenty) or even at the large stores like Marjane... another thing that is hard to find is antipersperant/deodorant... it can be found at the large stores but rarely can you find it at the small markets (souks) or on the street.

Have a great time!!!

It exchange right into a protracted time in the past (1962), yet I spent a year there interior the USAF. Stationed at Ben Guerir, I visited Casablanca and Marrakech some situations. Marrakech exchange into the greater thrilling of the two on the time. i found the Arab Moroccans to be friendly and beneficiant human beings. the existence variety of the working classification is like some thing out of a history e book. the individuals are undesirable by potential of U.S. standards, yet they appeared contented. It exchange into quite warm and quite dry during the summer season months, with daylight hours highs each and every so often attaining a hundred thirty, and there have been nights while the low exchange into one hundred. With humidity ranges at 5 to ten p.c., you need to no longer get sweaty in case you tried. there exchange right into a robust little bit of rain interior the iciness months, then hardly a drop during the summer season. of direction, this variation into all a protracted time in the past, so the individuals might have replaced of their techniques-set in the direction of human beings considering then.

In the way to Zagora, I stopped to help a driver ´cause his car was on fire. He just wanted us to buy some carpets + wasn´t in real danger.

Policemen stopping us very often with the excuse of high speed just 2 ask us which hotel we were going to stay (they were on the pull !! ).

Asking for a pastilla in a Meknes restaurant and getting an omelette with Cinnamon in stead, but getting charged the pastilla price.

A policeman trying to make us pay a fine because we didn´t stop at a red light in Marrakesh (the trafic light was in green!!!). We asked him to go "à la gendarmerie", as we were not in the mood of giving him any money. Nothing happened.

Sometimes it was a bit comical...

As a general rule, moroccans will try to get the piss out of you. Just be firm.

Even so, I will come back. But accompained with at least one man!!! (we were 2 girls on owr own)

Getting sick -- but that's it. Bring some medication - it will save you time going to a pharmacist and trying to explain what you need.
