Well lets hope so cause this year has been depressing to see them... I am not a fan but I watched them last year with Quinn and they seemed good until they were knocked senseless by LSU. It was fun to watch them and now they are pathetic and it is hurting my team's division's success. Charlie isn't right to think that but he will be humbled once everyone jumps onto the Buckeyes, Wolverines, and the USC Trojans to get a potential championship and not a rebuilding project. The only reason why anyone will want to play at ND is because they are hoping to be the "missing piece" that leads them from a terrible record to undefeated the next year so they can become a star. I don't think ND will have the best recruiting class in the nation to sum it up.

I'm still a loyal fan, and I just went to the Duke game and was blown away with how much potential we have. I don't really think Charlie is that bad of a coach, but his players are all young and this is kind of what I had anticipated, a lot of growing pains. Rivals has them at #1 still in the country, and they have 2 5*s and 15 4*s already. (Hoping pretty much all of them stay.) They should contend for a BCS bowl next year and a National Championship the year after that, if Charlie and all of the players stay.

I am an LSU tiger fan, but I also saw the movie "Rudy". It breaks the heart to see Notre Dame in the shape it's in. Weiss does have the best recruiting class in the nation next year, so I'm rooting for your comeback! Rudy, Rudy, Rudy!!!

I am still a loyal fan. Just went out to South Bend two weeks ago for the Air Force massacre. It was my first trip out there being from Boston. It was still amazing outside of losing. You need to stick by your teams through thick and thin. That way, when they do start winning, it will be that much sweeter knowing you experienced all the bad times! Go IRISH!

Charlie is getting too cocky. No way did ND have the best recruiting class in the nation. They were losing recruits left and right this year. Every week verbal commitments were backing out in light of the blithering failure of a season (if you can call it that). It was more like a massacre of a season.

You're not the only one...I hope Charlie is right, though...Clausen was the top QB in the nation out of HS, but he hasn't looked like it so far...
If Charlie is NOT right, he will be eating his words when he gets fired next season...

Charlie WHO?
Thought he was gone.......... or will be soon.
Goodbye Charlie!~
And the new coach will find next year a bit better, but don't expect a winner, just a mediocre team.

If there's one thing I can't stand, it's a lukewarm, get on the bandwagon fan.
You should root for your team no matter how crappy the season was.
