It's all the rage these days:

Monday, 19 November 2007, 10:44 GMT

The king of Spain's recent undiplomatic outburst at the Venezuelan president has become a ringtone hit across Spain.

An estimated 500,000 people have downloaded the insult featuring the words "Why don't you shut up?", generating a reported 1.5m euros ($2m).

"It's a form of protest," a 21-year-old student in Caracas told the Miami Herald. "It's something that a lot of people would like to tell the president."

Do you think he could come over here and tell OUR socialist despot, Nancy Pelosi, to "Shut up!"
Now THAT would be a hit in America!

Because Chavez, who is a toady to Islamic killers, believes the Madrid train bombings of March 11, 2004 were justified; Spain's Socialist Party, for whom that worm Jose' Luis Rodriguez Zapetero is party leader, took advantage of the Islamic terror and usurped Anzar's government. Anzar is disgusted by Chavez.

to sjpateja and others who might be tempted to think along those lines:

the King asked Chavez ¨Why don't you keep quiet?¨
(¿pq no te callas?¨) because it was Chavez who was being rude and who kept interrupting President Zapatero of Spain during his turn.

Chavez is a two-bit despot who is dismantling the democratic constitution in Venezuela to become its all powerful dictator.

The newspapers in Spain are full of letters to the editor from EXILED Venezuelans thanking the King for his words. Chavez has made it impossible for many Venezuelans to live in their country.

So it is NOT comparable to the Queen of England(or Prince Charles) telling the president of the U.S. to shut up. So far the president of the U.S. has not usurped powers or destroyed our democracy or exiled U.S. citizens. The day he goes that far I would hope that someone - be it the Queen of Spades or the King of the Mountain or the Prince of Darkness.,ANYONE!!! - would tell him to stuff it.

I say,BRAVO for the King of Spain. Spain is lucky to have such a great constitutional monarch.

I heard about the comment but not the ring tone. I'll have to tell my wife about it. She's from Venezuela and can't stand Chavez.

Well, the colonials need to be shown their place every now and again. Just out of curiosity, how would you feel if Prince Charles told President Bush to shut up? (The Queen is much too polite.)

Is funny. To me the King of Spain and Chavez are the same kind of scum. A monarch and a socialist, can you get any lower than that?
