North Carolina has four outstanding universities. They are:
1. Duke University
2. University of north Carolina -- Chapel Hill
3. Wake Forest Unviersity
4. NC State University
Duke is clearly the best. UNC and Wake Forest are very close in quality. NC State is a great school -- but there is a gap between WF and NCS.
nothing else in North Carolina comes close to these four schools -- though you could certainly get a good education at othe rNC universities.
