You have to sign up for lots of annoying things and it ends up cluttering your email box and then you end up paying for all these things you didn't mean to pay for when the trial period ends and they forget to tell you.

No. They're basically scams. You agree to the first few pages of offers and eventually come to a page that makes you actually buy something, get a CC (With a fee) or something similar. And even if you do complete all the required offers, you may never see that free item. And there isn't much you can do about it either.

Do your research. Most of these are scams but there are a few that aren't. For example
http://www.360Elite4free.com/index.php?ref=4267931
You must complete an offer and reffer 9 people to do the same in order to get your prize.

No, they're SCAMS!
They make you sign up for offers and give them your friends' addresses, and then your name and address gets put on a "gullible list" and traded to lots of other companies because they know you're more likely to fall for scams and fake offers than the normal internet user.
Just save your money or do a rewardfish.com program to make money - don't sign up for things you have to pay for or spam your friends with.
