but what made that person into a bully in the first place
I did once work with a horrendous bully whose father was also a thug and a bully. It could be hereditary what do you think ?

All bullies are insecure with low self esteem but I think the actual bullying part is definitely learned behavior - such as if your Father acted like this it's OK to do the same. Bullies certainly make bullies, but if a child's insecurity issues are recognized and dealt with at an early age the chances are that the child will not grow up a bully. The only reason people bully is that is the only way they can feel good about themselves. Awfully sad when you think of it.

Actually I think that bullying is an environmental thing, If the father is a bully he can bring his kids up to be bullies as well without them being born with that trait. I have met a few but I usually ignore them.

I was bullied then became the bullier im not proud of being one I look back and i am disgusted with myself i was bullied for years and had enough so turned on people (suprise suprise) weaker than myself I make up for what i did helping others though no consolation to the people i hurt and made miserable If im as brave on here admitting it then maybe one day i be brave enough to them and apoligize to their face

I had came acros a couple of bullies the first one in middle school he would make fun of me then he started liking me. The second one was in high school she use to call me "white girl" all the time because I wasn't the stereotypical black person but then I realized she was just jealous because nobody liked her and she was a follower :)

I have no idea why this idiot terrorized us. I was in elementary school. Latonya Hardman was her name. She was a demon. My mom got tired of me coming home crying and told me one day that if I didn't kick the girls butt, my mother was going to kick my butt.
So, the next time the girl picked on me, I beat her up and after that, she wasn't all that big and bad anymore and no one was really afraid of her from that point on.
