I think both players are over-rated. Ben is one of the highest paid QB's in the league (8 year, $102 million) and with the offense that Romo has, it'd be hard for Joey Harrington to look bad. ROMO: Tony has a lot of help surrounding him, but the stats show it. This season he has passed for 2,200 yards, 18 TD and 7 INTS in 8 games. Marion Barber is a great RB, but that doesn't prevent opponents from trying to stop the pass still. It is not like teams come with 8 in the box and then Romo easilly throws over the top. Romo does have the superior receivers... but until the last two weeks, he hasn't had Roy Williams, so that is unfair knock him for that. However, I think Romo's biggest asset is John Witten. He is a HUGE target and creates so many matchup problems... one of the best TE's in the league. Finally, Romo has one hell of an O-line. They keep him on 2 feet most of the time and give him all day to throw, however Romo does a good job of running and moving around in the pocket; he's a very mobile QB. ROETHLISBERGER Ben has a lot of skill surrounding him, however his O-line has been dreadful throughout this year. He has been sacked 3 times a game this year (Not quite 5) which is the reason that he has been beat up quite a bit. As of this week, he's thrown for 2,200 yards, 11TD's and 11 INT's through 11 games. This isn't very impressive this year, however, last year he passed for 32 and 11 over the course of the season with a good offensive line. Ben doesn't quite have the receivers that Romo does, but they aren't too shabby either. Hines Ward is a threat in all aspects of the game and Holmes is a good deep threat. Heath Miller is no Witten, but he has good hands and is a big target. I think the key difference between these two quarterbacks is the type of offense that they play in. The Steelers are a running team. Willie Parker is a great RB, but even though he's been injured, Mwelde Moore has filled his shoes more than sufficiently. They consistently see 7 or 8 men in the box. This should mean that Roethlisberger should have efficient passing stats, however he doesn't. Even though he doesn't drop back to pass nearly as much as Romo, he turns the ball over more. Roethlisberger does a great job of avoiding the rush. He's strong with the ball and makes some spectacular plays with defenders on his back. Ben's greatest intangible is his ability to keep the play alive. He can be a force when he tucks the ball as well because of his size, he's like having a Fullback at the QB position. Ben's also a clutch passer. In their superbowl run, he made some timely passes and has continued to do so throughout his career. WR's: Advantage Roethlisberger TE's: Advantage Roethlisberger RB's: Advantage Romo O-Line: Advantage Roethlisberger Reading the Defense: Advantage Romo Accuracy: Advantage Romo Deep Ball: Advantage Romo Clutch: Advantage Roethlisberger Extending the Play: Advantage Roethlisberger Decision-making: Romo Overall: Advantage Romo This season, Romo has led his team to a 6-2 record and has put up big passing number even while teams are expecting to see the pass. You can't quite call this a fair evaluation because of how different both teams styles of play and the better offense around Romo, but for now I'd say that Tony Romo is a more complete QB, but just by a hair.

NFC is a joke. Brady, Manning, Favre, Brees, Derek Anderson, Mcnabb. All better. Anderson getting no love though. but since romo plays on "americas team" and has the best surrounding cast he is "the greatest". Romo is still a choke and untill he wins atleast 1 playoff game he will always be just that a choke.

I'm not a Pats fan, but have you seen this guy Brady play? He's pretty darn good. In fact, he's head and shoulders above Romo.

still consider? I never did in the first place. He has played 20 NFL games. Relax. Besides, you may have heard of a guy named Tom Brady?

He's undefeated, shattering the record books and has 3 SB rings. No? doesn't sound familiar?

I never did consider him the best in the game. If he can make it through a playoff game without botching it (like he did against Seattle last year) then I'll show him some more respect.
