This is the place and there is a wide cross section of country music fans.
The "true classic country" is the real country music.
Todays country seems to be a combination of the "pop" of the 70's and easylistening.
So keep the classic country playing.

What do you consider to be "real true blue country music"?

I mean, I love my Marty Robbins, Tom T. Hall and Johnny Cash.

But I also enjoy some of that Big and Rich stuff as well.

Personally, I miss the twang sound I grew up listening to when I lived in west Texas.
Folks like Jeanne C. Riley, Conway Twitty...hell, even Jerry Reed and Roger Miller.
That kind of music is just great!

Anyway - sorry, I got off on a tangent.

So what do you want to get off of your chest?

Welcome. We are all in here to have fun and talk about the music we love best. But watch yourself too many peeps in here think this is some kind of a contest and would rather walk all over you than go around. We like quizzing each other and we do not mind how you get your answers around here. Google, ask, or personal knowledge. So ask away and let's have some fun. C-ya soon.

That depends. If you want to share, learn and enjoy classic country music, yes; this is a great place and many here are a wealth of information. If you want to spew, bash or promote hate and dissent for new country, then NO, this is not the intention of the forum. It should be used to gain, seek and share your love for classic country and have enough class to know that many people like many different classes of country music and all are welcome to use the sight for enjoyment and welcome.

The answers have it!!!! Most of us do dislike the newer stuff in country.. But we also try to be respectful, and not play the thumbs up/down game, very mean.... Some of us even get the answers wrong, well, because of brain farts!!!! Occasionally one of us will put something in about the newer stuff, because, like you, we don't much like it. But that don't usually cause a stink, unlike the immigration issue...
Welcome !!!!

Well, my new friend, it depends on what you mean by getting 'some new country trash' off your chest. As far as I'm concerned, there's not much in that area that would offend me. The trash itself is offensive enough....so you just go ahead and tell it all honey. That's what we're here for. I'm sure there's quite a few of us that will agree with whatever you have to say 110 %.

Give me some Merle Haggard, George Jones, Johnny Cash, Hank Sr., Don Williams, Charlie Rich, Charlie Pride, Tammye Wynette, Lynn Anderson. Cal Smith, Red Sovine, Roger Miller, etc., etc., etc.

So come on in, kick them boots off, rare back, and enjoy the fun!!! You're amongst friends now babe.
