it's definitely the Pacific - and the Marianas trench(located SE of Japan) is the deepest trench - in addition, there are many other trenches in the Pacific that are quite deep.
The deepest part of the Marianas trench is 6.8 miles deep. It was formed by tectonic plate subduction.

it depends whether you mean average or the deepest point. The deepest point is the mariana trench- 10916m deep but i dont know which is deepest on average

the pacific has the deepest place on earth in the marianas trench off the coast of mindinao. it is 6.8 miles deep.
