Ha ha, that Mr. Whipple commercial. I remember that one. I use Charmin when on sale. I always look for the 1-ply so it does not clog the toilet. Remember when colored toilet paper was in? You could get green, blue or pink. I didn't like the idea of dye in my toilet paper!

To our knowledge we didn't have Mr Whipple over here in the UK, just the Charmin bear. Charmin toilet tissue hasn't been sold in the UK for the same length of time as it has in the US...we use it coz it is really soft. The most popular toilet tissue here, for a number of years, was Andrex.

OMG Mr. Whipple -- what a great character Dick Wilson brought to life. Of course I squeezed the Charmin, but I used to look around for Mr. Whipple every time I did!!

I just heard about the passing of Mr. Whipple (Dick Wilson) on the tv news. I will miss his commercials. I have used Charmin bath tissue for years, & tryed not to put the "squeeze" on it, but I couldn't resist. I think Mr. Whipple will understand. R.I.P. Mr. Whipple. :)

I did enjoy the commercial growing up. However, I never squeezed the Charmin.

Yes I did and I still do. Don't buy it, but I sure do squeeze it.
This man made Mr. Whipple and American Icon.
OK everybody, no jokes about the last statement, although I can think of a few myself.
