empty regret
Somewhere in the vicinity of us,
Where I will not hear, not a single word.
I keep this flame of bitterness and hate,
It will keep my warm till my dying day.
Burning my candle at both ends,
One less flame awaits the dawn.
Living in a world of what has been said,
AllI know is I feel cold and I feel dead.
Seated on the edge, of all that is left,
I am but a shell full of empty regret.
I stand and I watch the remains of my soul,
Mixed in with anger, a crimson flow,
I know I wasted, all of my life,
Please, just this once be honest with me.
I'll take it back, all the waste that is mine,
Just do what is right and claim all of your own.
I will hang on to all of the pain, a token of our hate,
Become my sin, a blde with which to pierce my skin.
Free from the damned, that pulls us down.
Covered with blood, what becomes of us now.
