Why do people (Human's) have a hard time beliving that there are beings other then Human's only living here on Earth, such as Elves, Halfing, and other races?

I recall once my nephew when he was about five told me, do you see the angels in the trees? His mother quickly told him that there were no such things. My point is that we are conditioned to believe certain things which may or may not be correct. The next point is the lack of physical evidence. This is illustrated by the UFO argument. While it seems likely at least to me, that there are other life forms in the universe, there is not much if any hard physical evidence to support such thoughts. I am open to elves and other races. If they desire a conversation, they are welcome in my abode. If they wish to harm me, then I do have several firearms available. I guess if they are magic, a gun will be of little use, anyone have a spare working wand?

believing is seeing and seeing is believing,for example how many have ever seen a baby pigeon? probably no one has (unless u are a breeder). But we know they exist so who's to say other things may not exist as well just because they are not seen by normal means doesn't mean they don't exist. One just needs a little faith
