My period was 2 weeks early, I am not on birth control?

My "period" came two weeks early- It started really light- it didn't spot on my panties or anything- then all of a sudden I couldn't keep up with it. It wasn't red, it was more of a brown, extremely heavy; this lasted for two days and stopped. I didn't have any cramping or anything. I am married, only been sexually involved with my husband, we use condoms most of the time, but not all. What could be the cause of this?

This kind of spotting can also occur because of infection. The only way to find out for sure what is going on is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think is going on.
