WI offers different programs for various people. In WI you can receive Food Stamps, Health Care, and also if you have the minor children in your custody you can apply for Financial Assistance. However, the Financial Assistance involves being in a program for W-2. Whether it's job searching, or going back to school. Call the county and they can assist you. Good luck and it will be okay.

If you need somewhere to go immediately I would go to the homeless shelter. It might not be where you want to be but they will help you do what you need to get a place for all of you to live. The Salvation Army is good advice but I don't know of their services in this situation. Call them and find out. Help is out there for you. Start with the phone book. Good luck to you and whatever you do don't take him back. He left you and your children stranded and destitute. It will be hard at first but you can do it and it will get better.

No money can be a matter of perspective. Here, you can move into someplaces for $99. That, a free babysitter (any acceptable people willing?) and any minimum wage job and food stamps will get you by for now.

Go to the welfare office, and then see about some welfare to work program, or whatever they call it to get women into the workforce.

well you are obviously living somewhere, and that place has a computer. so you are living somewhere. where did he go? is he divorcing you? why? you have a newborn baby. where is your family? i would say first thing go to them and ask them to help you. you need legal help to arrange for your husband to support you and your two kids. it is time to be smart and mature and focused. ok? i wish you well.
