Everyone was doing quite well before old Mr. Chris Columbus
came along and fked it up for everybody. If you call mass
murder and genocide civilization then I would guess to say
yes. If you call kidnapping and slave trading and murder
the lords work then I guess we need to rewrite the bible. I
find it hard for anyone to stand up with pride and condone
the brutality and immorality placed on native Amercians,
enslaved Africans, the mistreatment of immigrants who came
to this country as an act of civilization. If you want to define
civilization I think you would have to give the credit to
the people who fought for civil liberties of minorities and
women!

Manifest Destiny. And it still happens today through the Bush Administration, the belief that the US has to spread it's form of democracy and freedom. Although, it was paid at the heavy price of loss of freedom of other races such as the Native American and African American. So your question if this country was founded by white men, yes.

No.. The British (and only the British) played the most central role in making America as far as "whites" are concerned most of the rest of you didnt get here until hundreds of years later but even the Brits couldnt survive if it wasnt for the Native Americans. Nor could America become rich if it wasnt for African Americans.. Also keep in mind the "Americans" couldnt defeat the British if it wsnt for African Americans fighting in the Revolution. American Whites were serverly outnumbered by them. This country was equaily founded by American Indian (Asian), Africans (Black), and the British (white)..Thats why these are the only 3 recognized ethnic groups in the U.S.

This country was founded and civilized by Native Americans (look up native, it means that this is really their country). This country was not made by white men. It was made by the genocide of friendly native Americans and African slavery.

Yes. Granted, many whites exploited other races to some degree or another to help create the U.S.

But that doesn't change the answer from "yes," any more than using labor keeps Henry Ford from being the creator and founder of Ford Motor Co.

Leaf Erickson and Columbus founded it, but it wasn't lost to the folks that lived here so the white men founding it is a moot point. I'm not sure it's civilized today -- please define civilized .

No. Native Americans were filling the crannies of this country pretty well before white people came here, diseased and enslaved them, and basically murdered off a large portion of their population with pestilence and displacement. You can't "found" a place people had been living in since the ice age.

fact: You cannot discover or find a land that was already inherited by a group of people. they merely found out that it existed. This land was not ''civilized'' by White men, but fixed in a way which THEY deemed was ''civilized'' by their own selfish thoughts. everyone has their own way to run things, and civilized has more than one meaning.

White men did not get on their hands and knees and build this country. fot that was done off the backs of other immigrants, including the real owners, if anyone, of this land, Native americans. they profitted off SLAVES as well as the work in which slaves did. the yalso profitted by enslaving their own people, more respectfully calling them ''indentured servants''.

This land was built more by minorities if anything. Whites however, held more power in the fist and sword while at the same time holding back the key to education for others they deemed ''inferior''

White man advanced on the sweat and muscle of the black people. So I think the blacks of America should take most of the credit if not for their horrible sacrifice and oppresion and slavery white men would have not had the wealth in the south that they did obtain.
