Sometimes you go through a period of denial especially if there are children involved but there are usually very subtle hints such as your partner staying out later than usual, leaving the house and not coming back for hours and hours, a new cologne or perfume that they start using, getting more cleaned up and prettied up than usual, a phone call that hangs up everytime you answer it, them clicking off of an email or im when you enter the room, changing their passwords so that you haven't got access that you use to have, little lies that you seem to catch them in often and wonder why they would lie about something that sounds trivial, missing income from their checks, unaccounted for purchases that they can't explain, their friends acting differently around you (friends often know what you don't), unusual overtime hours that never seem to show up in the paycheck, an unwillingness to show you their paystubs, lipstick on collars, the smell of someone else on them, they accuse you of cheating to cover up for their cheating, etc.

It was obvious but I just ignored the signs for awhile and made excuses. He was late to dates, he was busy more often, "worked" late. The end was when a girl answered his cell phone when I called him once. I was so pissed off. He called back and was frantically apologizing. He explained that he was at a party and that someone had just picked up his phone which was a lie since I didn't hear a lot of voices or music or other "party sounds" in the background.
Don't be obsessive about it but it's good to know right away if your boyfriend/girlfriend is cheating. For one thing, it's very emotional and for another you have to worry about catching an STD from your cheating partner. A co-worker of mine ended up catching an STD out of nowhere in the middle of her marriage. Turned out her husband was sleeping around and now she has to live with herpes for the rest of her life.

A woman's intuition is a hard thing to find. Most women are right. You have to go with your gut instinct. Granted, it's not always 100%, but I have never been wrong. If you truly feel it deep down inside your heart then your being cheated on.

I haven't been.
But my father found out that my mother was cheating on him when she became pregnant at the age of 41. He had a vasectomy years before.
It was not pretty.
5 years later he found out again because the guy came to the house looking for her.
And that was the end.

I didn't know until later, after the relationship was over. I just put two and two together and figured out that my dopefiend buddies were shooting her up and doing her while I was at work making an honest living. I still like dopeheads though even though I am just a redneck alcoholic.

She mentioned a guy's name one day that she worked with. There was something in her voice of how she said his name that made me start thinking. I just keep my eyes and ears open after that. She started doing little things that were out of character for her. Cheaters aren't aware of the little things they do that give away hints of cheating because they are too busy thinking they are pulling the wool over your eyes and getting away with it. They're not as smart as they think they are.

His whole attitude changed, he accused me of cheating, he would check my phones and sometimes answer my phones and he was mean. I found out when I checked his phone and I read a text some girl sent him, he had her name under a man name by the way.

My husband kicked me and our son out of the house that we were renting from his parents. He told me he was no longer in love with me. I asked him was he seeing someone because deep down in side I knew he was but was ignoring it. He explained he was not seeing another woman that he wants to live the single life and that I ruined him from wanting to have a relationship with another woman. I went to get my belongings and took the phone. I hit redial and this ladies answering machine picked up with her stating her number. I called that number in the middle of the night over and over again. He calls me the next morning and tells me that I have been calling an old lady who he is painting her house for. He was so mad at me. I called the number again and this lady answered and I told her I wanted to speak to my husband and she gave the phone to my ex. He hardly could speak because I caught him. It was the best thing he could of done to me because I was miserable being married to him. I learned to live my life independant. I have a good job now and learned how to drive at the age of 29. It was a hard road to travel alone but I can honestly say that it was worth it.

I 'just knew it'; the thought came from out of nowhere while I was driving my car. I checked his cell phone and there was the encrypted name of the woman, so I called her and said, sorry wrong number when she answered.
