Loved the book "No One Here Gets Out Alive"and the movie was wonderful too, although movies are never as good as the book.
Val Kilmer was fabulous as Jim Morrison and reflected the smoldering sexuality of Morrison that was his trademark, and the inspiration of my teenage years. YEOW!
Brought back wonderful memories of the free love, pre-AIDS era...........ah, those were fun times!
If you are a Doors fan, you must see the exhibit at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame here in Cleveland. Loved seeing a Christmas card Morrison wrote in grammar school it said:
"Have a cool yule and a fabulous 1st" He was a poet even as a kid!
I often wonder what he would have been like as a old dude.

Yes it is precise! When Jim Morrison dies in 1971, they did not give up their band, and made two studio albums - "Other Voices" (October 1971) - "Full Circle" (August 1972) And placed in combination the album "American Prayer" with Jim Morrison's poems and voice (They had recorded them earlier than) Nooo they particularly suck, Jim Morrison used to be the one factor that made the Doors an AMAZING band, and sure they do promote them nonetheless, however with none luck

I loved the book. Although Val Kilmer was great as Morrison, I thought the movie was terrible.

I did not see the movie. We had one of their albums. I never liked it. I have wondered who wrote, I think the title is, "Cover that girl in chocolate syrup" That guy had to be a pedophile. I don't know much about the band but they had to be strange to even sing a song that disgusting.
