Tom Prtty kicks *** so does bob dylan, i esp like learning to fly, won't back down, living like a refugee, and don't stop believing

I like Bob Dylan. Not so much Tom Petty.

I like Tom Petty's older stuff, and some of Bob Dylan, but some of it just "drags" a bit for me. "Subteraenean Homesick Blues" is crazy, but cool. Also, "Like a Rollin Stone" and "All Along the Watchtower" (although Hendrix does a better version of this!!) Tom Petty, "Refugee" is a fave, also American Girl cd (I don't know if thi is what the cd is called, but the song "AG" is on it) "Freefallin" too

Sure. Their music is transcendent of the times. Tom Petty has a more urban rock feel than Dylan

and i like any Tom Petty song

I can live without Tom Petty, but Dylan is the best songwriter there ever was. "Blood On The Tracks", "Desire", "Oh Mercy" and "Love and Theft" are awesome albums.
