When i turn my computer on its goes straight to the desk top, I have turned it on tonight and it asked for password, which I know is blank and it then let me into desktop.

I wondered why it did this, so I went into user accounts on my control panal and A new account has appeared.

It is called ASP.NET MACHINES A'....s Account

Its says it is a limited account and password protected.

What is it???? Does anyone know please and do I need to get rid of it, I have scanned for spyware / Virus's etc and detected nothing wrong

I had it show up on mine the first time I updated my OS from microsoft. Since then, I take only the security related updates. I deleted it without any problems.

This seems to be an issue with an Windows old service pack. You need to run Windows update and make sure you're up to date. It explains the problem at the link below.

ok for one yes make sure that remote connections are restricted on your computer and if you have other ppl in the house (especialy kids) ask if they made a second account..........and most likley its not big deal its not a virus (im pretty sure) but you really dont need to mess with it but tou can disable it if it makes you feel better it;s a stock account even if it's new i wouldnt worry to much......ok
