please gimme sum info. i gotta lot of questions. can catholics masturbate? how can i hide it from my parents? do u think my friends in gym do it cuz they have pubic hair but never talka bout it.

You can masturbate. It's not a sin, not even in the Catholic Church (masturbating with someone else, which is even better, is considered adultery, but even that is usually brushed off with a few Hail Mary's, according to a Catholic friend of mine). Boys can masturbate from birth, not just when they enter puberty, but if they aren't doing it before then, they most always start when they enter puberty and their hormones start working. It's more and more common for boys to talk about masturbating these days, but not everywhere. Why don't you ask one or two of them, if you're curious? Your dad will understand that you masturbate regularly and will be perfectly OK with it, so don't worry about him finding out, mom may be a little ignorant about it (although most girls and women masturbate too), so if you need support, go to dad. Just do it in bed and keep a towel or extra pillowcase or sock under the mattress to clean up with afterward (and be sure to wash it out often so it doesn't smell and breed germs). Be sure to keep your bedroom door closed. Or do it in the bathroom over the toilet or in the shower (again, be sure to keep the door latched).

Rather than indulge yourself this way, you should try to fill your day with other activities and your mind with other issues. You certainly should not be dwelling on whether or not other people masturbate.

Join a sports team or try out a new sport like tae kwon do or swimming or something like that. If you're looking at ANY porn, ditch that right away. Use your time and energy to help the less fortunate by volunteering at a soup kitchen or offering to clean up graves at a cemetery or something like that.

You don't have to tell your parents, but you should go to confession before you receive the Eucharist again.

Your cathlic So what? dude your religin should not dictacte how you should live your life. religin should be a guide to a good life a good spritual way on your journey through life. Masterbation is a normal thing for dudes to do. You need to know it is somthing you do in private. Your parents are gona know you do it your dad did it. Your father probably does it himself, and so does the priest.
There is nothing wrong in it and you should not feel guilty. As you get older and wiser you realise that you don't have to accept everything you're told, especially when it does no harm to you or others.
As for hiding it from parents....That's difficult and most guys have this problem, even non Catholics. I nearly got caught many times when I was supposed to be doing my school work in my room. Mom used to bring me a cup of tea and found me sweating and red faced. She knew what I was doing, but ignored it.

been catholic too. we're taught that it is a sin. most kids don't talk about it. they all do it. you should do it. it's an attempt by the religion to suppress sexual desires using guilt. don't buy into it. don't talk about it with your parents. do it in the shower or in the bathroom or in bed a night to keep it from them. try not to do it when they are home.

ok im pretty sure 95+% of guys jerk it often, even at your age, so dont feel weird. its something we do because we can. just make sure you have the time to do it with enough privacy. i know the shower is a common location, just ask any college guy. so stop worrying, it happens. people just dont talk about it too often
