Someone murdered my ex and I am wondering if they can pull up satellite images of the place they found her body and maybe find the vehicle that must have been there?

It is possible, but a bit of a long shot.

Commercial satellite data is available for purchase. Several satellites provide 1 meter visible resolution, and Quickbird (Digitalglobe) provides 60 cm resolution. Such satellites are in polar orbit, so maximum data availability at a given location is 1 or 2 images per satellite, per day, daylight hours only.

I've successfully used such data, to see my own car, at a known location. Image quality is good enough to determine general shape (large car, small car) and color, but not good enough to identify make and model, and certainly not good enough to identify a driver or read the license plate.

If you want to go pursue this option, you can contact the following companies, give them the exact latitude and longitude (degrees, minutes, and seconds), and a date and range of times. They should be able to quickly let you know whether or not they have any data relevant to your inquiry.

Good luck.

Sorry to hear about your ex, but the only people who have a satellite which might be of a good enough resolution to identify a vehicle at ground level would be the US military, but I doubt if even that could do it.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I can not help with the satellite images but wish you the best.
