Most Libs are indoctrinated by what they are used to, a blantently liberally slanted newscast. When they see something different, it has to be lies in their minds.

They are offended because Fox does not have balanced news. Hey, I'm from Canada and neutral on the subject because, not being an American, I'm obviously not a republican or democrat. I find watching American political news very entertaining because of the fact that the networks are so biased (not just Fox), and say the most politically biased statements. Not being American, I have no stake in it and can laugh at the insane things that are said. It's more similar to watching the WWE that journalism.
If I were American, I'd be outraged (and not just at Fox) that my news is so biased and has little journalistic content.
In my view the US needs a govt funded but not controlled news network as exists in Canada and Britain. Then you get news casts that criticise all politicians all the time.

Well, you see, for many years, liberal news was discriminated against. It was enslaved by truth, not given any good jobs, and had to settle for less than adequate schooling. To make up for these years of bad treatment, we now must have Affirmative Action for news.
That is why, even though there is only one National News channel that is giving news fair and equal treatment, the other News agencies have to give falsehoods and half-truths their fair amount of airtime!
The trouble is - everybody wonders - is this 'misinterpretation of the truth' only getting airtime because of Affirmative Action? Would anybody hear about it at all if it weren't getting 'special' treatment?
You can just never tell.

I don't know that it is fair and balanced. Anyone with a large audience is going to put their own take on stories. Bill O'Reilly does not give anything balanced. His piece is editorial and opinion mixed with some facts. I'm a conservative, not necessarily a republican. I'm leaning towards becoming a neocon because our country is not what it was set up to be. Few people actually raise their kids anymore, and that's where the problem stems. Man, did you open a can of worms....good job!!

Oh please. Balanced? Compared to what? Even with the so called liberal media Fox News is ridiculously and unapologetically right wing, but even taking ti a step further, a mouthpiece of the current admin. An O'Reilly is a buffoon masquerading as an informed voice of the people. This guy has gotten so many facts wrong, real facts (google him and Malmedy), that he makes Baghdad Bob look respectable. He is an entertainer and a rabble rouser, and his job is to fool you into bleieveing what is is not what it seems. Guess it works.

I'm offended when someone insults my intelligence by asking me to believe that Fox news and ESPECIALLY O'Reilly are "fair and balanced". I also feel sorry for anyone who thinks that what they get from Bill is actual news.

because liberals cannot stand to hear the other side or the truth. Liberals are a minority in this country and are trying to gain power over the standard Conservative values that built this country and if you here the fair and balanced truth then they cannot get people to join in on their agendaand keep destroying real American values. Right now all other news outlets are liberal bias as is our public education system.
And it is called Christmas and not the Holidays. If you all that have come here dont like it then leave !!!!!!!!!!!

He is a pundit. His show is based on opinion, not straight news. I like his show although he often interrupts his guests and should practice more humility .

Fox News viewers are consistently the least informed viewers of new shows (PBS is consistently the highest informed viewers). I don't think that points to a balanced, well informed station. But I guess it comes down to what you consider balanced. The offense would probably be from their assertion that they are balanced.
