That my husband, and thousands of other soldiers made it back from Iraq safe and sound. That I have a wonderful family that loves me. That I get to go home for Christmas.

I don't choose to only be thankful on Thanksgiving. It's an all-year round, daily thing for me.

For my son who is about to be born, despite not having a father for him. for the good time I had with his father and for the great times ahead. for having a house with a roof, a kitchen with food and a family with love. For the health and strength, for my friends and my challenges. For the guidence and trust, respect and love.

I will be thankful for my wife and stepkids, for my brothers and their families, and for the fact that I had my parents alive and well for the first 52 years of my life. I lost both of them in July, 12 hours apart, after 66 years of marriage. This is the first holiday season without them, and I know it's going to be hard.

I'm thankful to be alive. This is the tenth year since my life was spared in a major accident.
Since the injuries, I have healed to become a personal trainer. I am grateful to God for the gift of healing.
I am grateful to live in the country where I live. (USA)
I have started my own business and it's going well, I am grateful for that. I am grateful for the important people in my life, and the important people yet to come into my life.

I am thankful that I will not be contributing to the cruelty of the annual turkey slaughter thisThanksgiving.
Tofurkey for me please!

Outside of that, I'm thankful for all the support and kindness which I see others contributing to and what I receive each and everyday.
