You laugh because you feel silly or fake. But the key to good acting is believing in your role or character so fully, that you make others believe it, too. If you're laughing it's because you don't believe it, then what's the point of acting at all? Take your roles seriously as if it's truly who you are, then that should kick the giggles.

Because you are self conscious. Good actors are not self conscious, they are character conscious which is to say they do not think about themselves while they are acting. You can stop it by learning properly how to act. /what you have to do is to react to the stimuli in the scene ( the things that are happening and being said) the way the character reacts, and the way you do that is to 'listen" to the scene with all the senses of the character and when something effects her, you react by doing an saying what she does or says, the way she does or says it. You need an acting coach who knows the difference between acting and reacting. You want to learn how to react and how to stay out of your own way which is what makes you laugh, you are intruding yourself into the scene where you don't belong. Start reacting in character and you will not laugh unless the character has a reaction which is a laugh.

This seems to be stage fright. I've seen this all the time as a teacher. The best way to stop it is to know what you are doing on stage. Either you are not prepared, or you dont know your lines, or you are not in the moment and thinking about something else.
Before you go onstage, stop everything, take a deep breath, and do your thing. CONCENTRATION IS KEY! You may laugh because you dont know your lines, learn them.

You are laughing because you aren't fully immersed in the scene. Always focus on what your character needs in the scene from the other character. Then you won't feel self-conscious or break character.

Do some focusing exercising before hand. If you still laugh its either the people your working with or you're still not focused enough

you see, sometimes when you wanna be a GOOD actress, you have to be serious. you know like dakota fanning, abigail breslin, etc, if ya wanna land the auditions, you must be aware that the interviewer will report any nonsense to the director. so heres wat- just shake it out before the event!
