A female coworker, is a bully and has mentioned how she does the same to her husband. How come he stays? She always gossips and puts everyone down and many of the other coworkers indulge her. Has no one a spine?

They clearly fear her. Your co-workers are afraid that if they report her for any wrongdoing (the gossiping, the putdowns, for example) she will deny any wrongdoing and make up some believable lie to get those against her in trouble. They are very typical like that. As for her husband, he too is afraid that if he goes to the police, they won't believe him, and if he shows them videotape of the assaults, they'll shrug it off as self-defense, even if the husband has never hit or beat her. He's also worried that if he gets a divorce, she will end of with the house, the mortgage and sole custody of the kids, and he'll have nothing. It's clearly fear that everything will work out in her favour due to manipulation.

It sounds like you're talking about my husband's ex. LOL Seriously, a good man will eventually get tired of the gossip and he won't be "bullied" for very long. An assertive or bitchy woman is a turn on at first because she is clear about what she wants, but eventually it starts to wear on the man and he seeks out someone with a heart.

You gave beginning to 6 little ones, that on my own proves which you're sturdy. you may no longer replace him, he has to be certain to try this. enable him know which you and he would desire to talk - act assertive yet no longer offended and tell him that the two you the two (and probable little ones too) prefer marriage/kinfolk counselling because of the fact which you have had adequate verbal abuse and you sense that the kinfolk and marriage are crumbling. you have submit with those products too long. your little ones hear the two one among you and probable will proceed this chain of misery while they are adults and married because of the fact they have learnt that it extremely is suited behaviour. in case you worry he would be abusive enable a pal/kinfolk member know you're having this chat with him, keep a cellular telephone on your pocket for 911. If it would not flow nicely in the present day leave with the youngsters. Have a plan.

Perhaps she has a perrsonality disorder? If I were in that setting, I'd tell it like it is and put her in her place.

Perhaps she's innapropriate to the point where people don't even want to confront her.

As for him, he probably likes it. Some guys liked to be bossed around due to their past. Whether their parents did it or their siblings. It's familiar.

I agree. I have no idea why he would stay. A relationship can't last when one person is constantly being put down.

He is probably just a submissive personality and loves her for the way she is. It really isn't up to us to question it, but just to accept that however they make it work is fine for them.

First of all ...you are doing the same thing ...gossiping.

This is a private matter. Her marriage.

Just ask her in a nice way to please keep her marriage
relationship to herself.

You put on the spine. What's wrong with you taking on the bull?

Now get the job done.

You need to ask yourself why is this bothering you so much? It is the co-workers life and her husband must accept her the way that she is otherwise he would leave her.
