Haha, you know those russian eggs, that you open and a smaller one is in, then another even smaller one? Sort of the same concept....

Ok, a Turducken is not an animal... it is a dish. Their are several dishes where dark meat and white meat, or chicken and duck are rolled together. Well, this is sort of that concept turned redneck haha...

To make a Turducken, you get a turkey, a duck and a chicken (usually a cornish hen). You then debone the birds, and remove the legs and etc so that you have just meat. As you guessed it, the Turkey is stuffed with a Duck, and the Duck with a Chicken....then baked...

It is an interesting dish, the duck provides a juicier layer since it is a fattier bird, so you can't go wrong and mess it up.

A Turducken is a partially de-boned turkey stuffed with a de-boned duck, which itself is stuffed with a small de-boned chicken. The name is a portmanteau of those ingredients, turkey, duck, and chicken. The cavity of the chicken and the rest of the gaps are filled with, at the very least, a highly seasoned breadcrumb mixture or sausage meat, although some versions have a different stuffing for each bird. Some recipes call for the turkey to be stuffed with a chicken which is then stuffed with a duckling. It is also called a chuckey.

The result is a relatively solid, albeit layered, piece of poultry, suitable for cooking by braising, roasting, grilling, or barbecuing. The turducken is not suitable for deep frying Cajun style (to deep fry poultry, the body cavity must be hollow to cook evenly).

It's chicken inside duck inside Turkey, all the bones are removed there is usually a stuffing in between each bird, then it's put back together to look like a turkey. It's delicious

It's deboned turkey, duck and chicken put together by stuffing the duck inside the turkey and the chicken inside the duck.

Southern style preperation/creation that you cook and then slice up to enjoy all three meats at once.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Supposed to be excellent.

It's a de-boned Turkey, stuffed with a de-boned Duck, stuff with a de-boned Chicken.

Basically, it's all meat, cooked, then when sliced it's got an excellent combination of three flavors.

BTW- it's John Madden's favorite

It is a small chicken, inside of a duck, inside of a turkey. That way, when you cut into it, you get 3 different types of meat. Apparently it's fantastic... :) I think you have to special order it most places... and it's pretty expensive!
